King Street lettings to BITE

The British Institute of Technology and eCommerce (BITE) has let 10,090 sq ft of office interior space at 23 King Street in London.
The deal was managed by APM Property Consultants and represents a substantial saving for the owner of the building, as the two-year lease to BITE came at a time when the property was unoccupied and in need of short-term tenant.
"Occupiers are demanding flexible leases and are reluctant to make long-term commitments during the current economic downturn. This makes them an ideal match for our skill set," commented APM Property Consultants' managing director Richard Douglas.
Meanwhile, Mark Hickmott, director of West End agency at BNP Paribas Real Estate recently claimed the St James area of London's West End has seen a significant growth in interest for office interior space over the last 12 months.
He noted that in excess of 250,000 sq ft of grade A office interior space has been let in the area so far this year, more than double that seen in the whole of 2009.
