Lakes hotel expansion gets green light
Office design news from Morgan Lovell

An expansion to the Miller Howe Hotel in Windermere has been announced today, according to the North West Evening Mail.
The plans will include new office interiors, as well as extensions to kitchen, dining room and bedroom facilities.
Planning officer Ben Long said that the proposals do not conflict with Lake District National Park Authorities' (LDNPA) strict conservation policies.
These include regulations banning expansions that will amount to more than a ten per cent increase in the original floor space of hotels within the remit of the LDNPA.
The authority aims to ensure sustainability in design proposals, and had rejected the original planning application on the grounds that it would extend within too close a distance to a nearby tree.
Plans have been since amended and Mr Long stated that no current risk is posed by the development.
Elsewhere in northern England, recent proposals have also been announced for Queen's Meadow, which will include an office layout of 150,000 square feet, according to the Hartlepool Mail.
