All available office space at The Cube in Birmingham has now been allocated after the Law Society and the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) signed up for the last remaining offices.
SRA and the Law Society said they plan to move 700 employees into the building in Birmingham’s city centre. It is to become SRA’s headquarters while it will also provide a home for a team of support staff working for both the SRA and the Law Society.
Neil Edington, Director at The Cube, said: "We’re delighted to welcome The Law Society and the SRA to what we firmly believe is Birmingham’s best business address."
Commenting on behalf of The Law Society, CEO Desmond Hudson said: "We’ve taken time to view a range of options which best fit our criteria before deciding on The Cube.
"Consolidating our four current Midlands building and all our Midlands-based staff together in one building will reduce out costs, make us more effective and more efficient and support the provision of high quality services for our members."
The Cube’s office fit out is already under way, with the first occupants expected to move into the premises this summer.
