Town Centre Securities has begun the refurbishment of Leeds' Merrion Centre.
Property News Executive has reported that the Town Centre House development has been given a provisional BREEAM rating of Excellent and will incorporate sustainable features such as onsite waste management, full-height glazing and floor plates to maximise natural lighting.
Once completed, the centre will offer 33,523 sq ft of office interior accommodation for businesses in the city.
Property director for Town Centre Securities Richard Lewis commented: "We believe that we have created a unique product within Leeds city centre. Town Centre House's combination of sustainability, quality and value is unrivalled, as is the flexibility we can offer to occupiers."
Elsewhere in the region, commercial property construction firm Bruntwood has announced three new lettings at one of its Manchester developments.
PHD North, Roger Tym & Partners and Seven Architects have all moved into 61 Oxford Street and have taken up 6,500 sq ft of office interior space between them.
