Liverpool firm to face compulsory relocation

Liverpool-based firm Ventcroft is facing compulsory relocation following the announcement that the local council plans to demolish its current home to make room for new transport links.LDP Business reports that the council is purchasing Astmoor Industrial Estate - the current home of Ventcroft - to build the second bridge to link Widnes to Runcorn.
A spokesman for Halton council told the publication: "These negotiations are aimed at allowing local businesses to plan ahead and relocate elsewhere within Halton and are progressing well.
"As part of this, we can confirm that negotiations are at an advanced stage with Ventcroft through our respective professional advisers."
Elsewhere in the city, the firm Hitchcock, Wright and Partners was recently given the all clear to begin work on its new £6.5 million office refurbishment.
The company plans to create 22 self-contained office interiors at the new Meridian Business Village in the south of the city ranging from 1,380 sq ft to 5,390 sq ft.
