Plans for the creation of a new office hub in Liverpool city centre have moved forward following the opening of the pilot phase of the scheme.
The Baltic Triangle area will offer up to 9,000 sq ft of office interior space to small businesses in the city at present, but there are plans to increase this square footage to closer to 45,000 sq ft once the project is complete.
"We want a place in the city centre where people can spark off each other and collaborate," commented Malcolm Kennedy, executive member for regeneration at Liverpool City Council.
He added that the hub could be a great attraction to creative companies, as the city currently employs around 25,000 workers in this field.
Meanwhile, housing association Liverpool Mutual Homes has moved into new office accommodation at the City Point office development on Great Homer Street in Liverpool.
In total, 12 of the 16 suites at the property have now been let, with office interior space at the site totalling 25,000 sq ft.
