Falls in the cost of taking on office interior space in Liverpool are spurring on businesses to move to the area, it has been claimed.
Office industry news portal Choregus reported that the value of commercial property in Liverpool has fallen on average by 3.1 per cent over the last year.
As a result, many businesses are becoming more interested in the region as modern office design properties become more affordable.
Mark Worthington, who works for CBRE in the north-west, said: "With schemes like St Paul's Square, Liverpool is now able to offer top-quality office space comparable with anywhere else in the UK but at a significant discount."
Elsewhere in the region, St George's House in Manchester was recently sold for £5 million by its previous owner Scottish Widows to GGM Properties.
In total, the building contains 50,000 sq ft of modern office design space, with GGM planning a significant investment and office refurbishment programme for the building.
