Commercial properties in London are likely to enjoy a period of increased activity in the near future.
This is the opinion of Julia Kollewe, writing for the Guardian, who stated there are not enough office interiors available in the capital to appease buyers.
She remarked: "The London office market is heading for a new boom in the next five years when a large number of leases expire, fuelling demand for new office space."
According to Ms Kollewe, people in the industry are already beginning to revisit schemes that were put on hold during the economic downturn.
Developers have learned their lessons from the recession, she explained, with fewer looking to "flood the market" with speculative deals, leading to a drop in the number of void projects.
Last month, media manager at the British Property Federation Andrew Teacher said overseas investors in particular are keen to purchase prized London office space.
