London office interiors 'offer fair value'

The London office market offers "fair value" to companies, it has been claimed.

Ed Stansfield, property economist at Capital Economics, said that while it may be a little strong to say it is the only city in the world to do so, London office interior space currently offers a great deal to those wishing to relocate there.

And to back this up, the firm reported that it has witnessed a dramatic growth in investment in the City in recent months.

He commented: "The correction that we have seen has come through very rapidly in London and particularly in terms of the City."

According to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the number of surveyors reporting a rise in commercial property prices in the UK during the last quarter increased from -50 to -66 in its most recent set of figures.

Furthermore, the number of surveyors reporting growth in investment demand stood at -56 - up from -77 in the previous quarter.
