Major office refurbishment work is to be carried out at 199 Bishopsgate in London over the coming years.

The project will get underway in the summer of next year and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2012.

Reportedly costing up to £35 million, the office refurb work will see the regeneration of 142,000 sq ft of office interior space at the building.

The majority of the property is currently let to Royal Bank of Scotland, which has recently extended its lease at the site and is providing much of the funding for the refurbishment project.

Situated opposite The Broadgate Tower, the property is in a prime central London location.

Elsewhere in the capital, the British Institute of Technology and eCommerce recently announced a letting at 23 King Street.

The organisation has taken on 10,090 sq ft of office interior space at the premises and the deal was managed by APM Property Consultants.
