The creation of a new centre to boost environmental awareness among businesses and the public has received the green light from planners and will be completed by 2012.
Situated in London's Docklands area, the new Siemens Pavilion will cost £30 million and is expected to attract up to 100,000 visitors per annum with its focus on sustainable office design and green development.
The 75,000 sq ft property will also include 21,500 sq ft of office interior space and will feature an exhibition hall and conference suite.
Andreas Goss, chief executive at Siemens, said: "I am delighted we have the green light to build the Siemens sustainability centre. Our aim is to create an attractive focal point that celebrates London’s ambition and leadership in green technologies and sustainability."
Meanwhile, individuals interested in learning more about sustainability might like to head along to Morgan Lovell's sustainable office design seminar that the business is holding at Charles Darwin House in London on November 16th.
