The green light has been given for the development of Land Securities' Victoria Transport Interchange (VTI2) building in London.

In order to create this new office development, the company is redeveloping Wellington House and Selborne House in the West End.

Three architect firms have been contracted to redesign the area which, once completed, will incorporate six towers with retail property, apartment homes and premium office space.

A spokesperson for Kohn Pederson Fox said: "The buildings will cater for a variety of uses appropriate to this inner-city location, including office, retail, residential - with 25 per cent affordable housing - and a public library."

Meanwhile, market research and workflow solutions company TheMarkets.com recently announced that it is to undergo the refurbishment and expansion of its London office.

In the last 12 months the company has seen significant expansion ion its UK sales and as such has decided to double the amount of staff operating in the capital.
