National publication the Daily Express has announced plans to relocate part of its editorial team to new premises in Luton.
The newspaper has received planning permission for the creation of a new printing press in the city and is set to employee up to 450 members of staff at the site when it is completed in the coming years, including a portion of the editorial department that could be housed at a separate site at the former DHL warehouse near Luton Airport.
Luton South MP Gavin Shuker told the BBC: "We are very happy to have a national newspaper printed in Luton."
Meanwhile, the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children recently announced it has moved to new office space in Birmingham at 6-7 Newhall Square in the city centre.
The organisation has taken on 7,385 sq ft of grade A office interior space at the building, which can be found in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter.
