Over one-third of Manchester-based businesses recently claimed they plan to expand their office interiors and take on additional staff in the future.
Research carried out by Drivers Jonas has revealed 34 per cent of Manchester firms plan to increase their workforce over the next 12 months, while in addition, it found that 70 per cent of businesses asked in the poll had been based in the city for ten years or more.
John Walley, partner from Drivers Jonas Manchester, said: "While the city centre office market is expected to see some oversupply in the short term, it's encouraging to see so many loyal occupiers looking to move to larger premises in the next five years."
Elsewhere in the city, Manchester-based telecoms firm Unicom recently announced plans to carry out a large-scale office refurbishment programme at its modern office design space on Leestone Road.
The company is looking to create an additional 5,000 sq ft of modern office design space following its purchase of the building for £339,000 earlier this month.
