Manchester office achieves BREEAM

Three Piccadilly Place, a new office design development in the heart of Manchester has been awarded the prestigious 'excellent' rating by the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) standard.With the site expected to open in June this year, it will provide approximately 200,000 sq ft of Grade A commercial space with flexible office layout options available over 11 floors.
The director of the group behind the project told Piccadilly Manchester that they were delighted to achieve the accolade, which assesses environmental credentials over a wide range of factors.
BREEAM is used to evaluate environmental performance for a many different types of building, with commercial offices examined for adherence to stringent criteria at both the design and management stage.
Such benchmarks include low energy consumption, extensive public transport links, reduced water usage and the use of sustainable resources.
Points are awarded for such factors and companies and the 'excellent' rating is awarded to those office designs that achieve scores in the highest bands across the categories.
