Manchester office space 'on hold'

Two major developments in Manchester have been put on hold amid fears that demand for new office interiors in the city is falling, it has been revealed.Choregus has reported that the planned construction of 100,000 sq ft of office interior have been put on hold by the legal firm DWF which now plans to extend its current offices at the Prince's Building by 16,000 sq ft instead.
Meanwhile, it has also been reported that Marks & Spencer has abandoned its search for a new 80,000 sq ft office design in the area due to the uncertain economic climate at present.
Elsewhere in the city, the refurbishment of 19 Spring Gardens by the property development firm Magnus was recently given the green light by local authorities.
According to Crain's Manchester Business, the £2.5 million development will see the construction of 38,000 sq ft of office interior space which is to be rented at a cost of £25 per sq ft.
