Allied London's Manchester development Spinningfields is to undergo its next phase of expansion with the creation of up to 150,000 sq ft of grade A office interior space.
Manchester Evening News has reported that the company is planning to increase the size of the development and have all work completed by late 2010.
There are also a number of new tenants looking to relocate to Spinningfields, including PricewaterhouseCoopers and lawyer DWF - each of which would require up to 70,000 sq ft of office space.
Allied London chief executive Mike Ingall told the newspaper: "I think we could start work on the next speculative phase of office development in the next 18 months and it wouldn't be worth doing unless we built at least 150,000 sq ft of new offices."
Elsewhere in the city, Manchester council recently announced that is looking for new premises offering at least 100,000 sq ft of office interior space to house the organisation's staff during the refurbishment of the city hall complex and its surrounding buildings.
