Mathys & Squire to open Manchester office

Specialist patent and trademark attorney Mathys & Squire has announced that it is to open a new office interior in Manchester.Crain's Manchester Business has reported that the expansion of the predominantly southern-based business in to the north of England is part of the firm's overall plan to significantly grow its UK client-base.
Robert Hawley, director of local law firm William A Shepherd & Son - a recent addition to the group - commented: "With an office in the city we will be able to service the long-recognised demand for trademark and patent expertise in the region, whilst at the same time bolstering our profile in the north."
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Linley House on Dickinson Street, Manchester is to get a "facelift" by the property development arm of United Utilities Group.
Up to 10,000 sq ft of office interiors are to be refurbished as part of the building's makeover, while two floors of the seven-storey property have already been let to Electricity North West.
