Mercer opens Manchester investment office

Investment services firm Mercer has announced the opening of a new office in Manchester to help strengthen its presence in the north of England.
Jo Holden will be heading up the operations at the new office and will be in charge of one of the largest investment consultancy teams in the city.
Fiona Dunsire, head of Mercer's Investment Consulting business in the UK said: "Mercer continues to see strong demand for investment consulting advice from UK clients. Our new team in Manchester will be well placed to service clients locally, drawing on Mercer's UK and global resources."
The company specialises in consulting, outsourcing and investment services around the globe and in the UK presently employs approximately 350 members of staff.
Globally Mercer employs more than 18,000 individuals and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies. It is presently listed on the New York, Chicago and London stock exchanges.
