Morgan Lovell launches sustainability programme

Office design specialist Morgan Lovell is launching a new environmentally friendly initiative.

The company's CarbonNeutral programme is set to extend the design firm's commitment to sustainability.

Working with the CarbonNeutral Company - which provides assistance to businesses in reducing CO2 emissions - Morgan Lovell will invest in renewable energy projects in the UK and overseas.

Measures to be implemented by the office design innovators include surveying staff on key issues like commuting distances.

David Henderson, the company's managing director, comments: "Being awarded the CarbonNeutral brand mark is an important part of Morgan Lovell's wider sustainability initiative.

"The process has been a very positive one, not only in terms of doing our bit to save the environment, but also in improving efficiency and positively engaging with our staff."

Earlier this year, the draft climate change bill introduced proposals to make carbon emission targets in the UK legally binding.

Under the terms outlined in the bill, companies will be responsible for contributing towards Britain's sustainability targets.
