Morgan Lovell has designed a new commercial environment that has been ranked highly for sustainability.
The company completed an office design project at Charles Darwin House in London, achieving a Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) rating of Excellent in the process.
According to Dr Hazel Norman, executive director of current occupants the British Ecological Society, her organisation is "delighted" with the news.
She remarked: "The transformation now means that all 70 staff across five floors enjoy access to natural light and the stunning ground floor reception and conference suite now benefit from full-length windows."
Dr Norman stated the structure had resembled a "black hole" originally, but she admitted it has been completely changed by the work.
Managing director at Morgan Lovell David Henderson said the office refurbishment will be cost-effective in the long run due to carbon savings.
Meanwhile, Walsall Housing Group has claimed its new £6.5 million town centre office will attain a BREEAM Excellent rating upon completion as proof of its environmentally-friendly construction.
