The most popular places in the UK for businesses to relocate their offices to have been revealed.
Based on enquiries about possible office relocation projects, Offiocebroker.com has claimed that Birmingham, Luton, Edinburgh, Cambridge and Manchester are the top five destinations for small businesses in the UK.
The company noted that small businesses currently account for more than half of the UK's private sector employment - approximately £1.653 billion in combined annual revenues - and many of these businesses are looking to relocate during the economic downturn.
Birmingham topped the list at 33 per cent of enquiries, while businesses looking to move to Luton were shown to be on the lookout for the most space.
Meanwhile, Ed Stansfield, property economist at Capital Economics, recently forecast that office interior rents would stabilise next year, pointing to an end to the downward trend in rents which we are currently witnessing.
