A new serviced office venture in the Scottish capital has been given a grant of £80,000 to help set up its new centre.
Office industry news source Choregus has reported that The Melting Pot - specialising in office interiors for the charitable and social enterprises sector - has been set up by entrepreneur Claire Carpenter to offer facilities to individuals working with no permanent base of operations.
Ms Carpenter noted: "This was something I needed that didn't exist. I have often worked from home as I have mostly worked for groups without a permanent base here and it is a lonely thing to do."
The development already has a number of high-profile tenants penned to take up residence including Oxfam and a number of other smaller charities.
Meanwhile, LDP Business recently reported that Liverpool-based developer Moffat has received an Office Achievement award for its contribution to the design of Nikal's MyBuro scheme in Altrincham.
