Swedish banking group Handelsbanken has announced an office relocation to new premises in Greater Manchester.
The firm has signed a ten-year lease for 2,000 sq ft of grade A office interior space at the Deva Centre in Salford. A grade II-listed building and former brewery, the premises are owned by Belfast-based Benmore Developments and offer a total of 83,000 sq ft of office space.
"Handelsbanken has chosen the Deva Centre for its unrivalled accessibility to the motorway network, excellent on-site car parking ratio and its close proximity to the city centre," commented Nick Nelson, a surveyor at CB Richard Ellis North West.
Meanwhile, Geoff Hill, director of Northern Way Properties, recently noted there has been particular interest in Salford Quays office space from companies in the digital and media sectors in recent months.
He revealed that just under 200,000 sq ft of office space was let to firms in Salford Quays during 2010.
