26-03-2008
The shared office design plans for Legal & General and Mitsubishi have been unveiled, with new premises to be situated between Covent Garden and Oxford Street in central London.Known as the Central Saint Giles development, the office design proposals include 500,000 sq ft of mixed-use space, with 394,000 sq ft of contemporary office space to be provided.
The new premises will replace an existing office block built in the 1960s and will consist of three separate structures using glass and ceramics to create an irregularly-shaped office complex.
Building work has already been undertaken on the projection and a completion date is set for the end of 2009.
Elsewhere in the capital, US-based investment firm Browns Advisory has announced that it will take up offices in order to further fuel European growth and opportunities.
Director Logie Fitzwilliams has said: "With a physical presence in the UK now, we will be favourably positioned to build on our existing base of business."
