New office layout planned for Welsh Assembly Government
09-04-2008
The Welsh assembly government is planning an office relocation to Llandudno Junction in the coming years, it has been reported. The North Wales Pioneer asserts that a contractor is being sought to create a building in the town which will include a large office layout for the body.
It is hoped that a developer for the office design project will be secured over the summer, with the new facility set to be opened in 2010.
It is intended that the office will comply with sustainable office design technology developments to achieve an "excellent" rating when evaluated using the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM).
A spokesperson told the publication: "While there have been a few weeks' slippage, the design work undertaken at this stage will foreshorten the overall process of delivering a high-quality, low-carbon design office building at Llandudno Junction."
Elsewhere in Wales, it was reported in the Western Mail today that a new office layout scheme is being speculated upon by PMG Estates for one of its projects in Cardiff Bay.
