Development company Peel has announced plans for a new 20,000 sq m mixed use office scheme in Nottingham.
The company plans to create a new hotel and office interior complex at Sovereign House that could be the catalyst for a regeneration of the city's commercial quarter.
Richard Mawdsley, development surveyor at Peel, said: "[The scheme] will offer something that the city doesn't have at the moment - a commercial address that appeals to London's out-migrating companies."
He added the new premises will help to stem the present leakage of employers out of Nottingham, as well as attracting fresh investment into the area.
Elsewhere, Allied London recently announced it is considering the sale of one of its office developments in Manchester.
The property company is weighing up an offer that is believed to be in the region of £165 million to £185 million for its 3 Hardman Street premises at Spinningfields.
