The Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) and Northwest European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) have joined together to deliver new modern office design space to Liverpool city centre.
Investment of £8.8 million has been ploughed into St Paul's Square by the two organisations, which in total will deliver more than 250,000 sq ft of modern office design space for the city.
Steven Broomhead, chief executive of the NWDA, said: "This investment from the NWDA and ERDF will spearhead the delivery of the third phase of this important project to create high-quality, speculative office space in Liverpool city centre."
Elsewhere in the region, Dr Jeremy Carter, of the University of Manchester, recently claimed that office buildings across Manchester will soon move to incorporate green areas into their sustainable office design plans for the future.
He noted that companies could benefit from placing gardens on the rooftops of offices in order to provide staff with somewhere to relax, while also helping with the cooling of the office interiors below.
