A new £40 million office construction project has been announced for London's West End.
British Land has purchased properties in the area and intends to build a new 60,000 sq ft office building - as well as retail space and luxury apartments - in their place as part of regeneration plans for the district.
The company stated that demolition work is set to begin in the coming months, with completion of the project forecast for mid-2013.
Tim Roberts, head of offices at British Land, said: "Marble Arch House will offer high quality accommodation at a time when supply will be limited in a West End location which is being regenerated."
Elsewhere in the capital, research from Drivers Jonas Deloitte recently showed that average rental costs rose by 25 per cent in 2010 for premises in the City of London.
The report highlighted the largest annual increase in rents in the area for the last 22 years.
