Office developer Montpellier Estates has submitted plans for a new mixed use office scheme at its City One site in Leeds city centre.
Property Week reported the project aims to deliver more than two million sq ft of mixed use modern office design space, alongside retail developments, a new hotel and casino and a number of new restaurants.
The regeneration scheme has been forecast to cost in excess of £500 million and will play a major part in the redevelopment of Leeds over the coming years.
Jan Fletcher, chairman of Montpellier Estates, commented: "The site's strength lies in its location, just off the motorways and walking distance from Leeds City station. Our vision is to create a spectacular entrance and skyline from the city's southern gateway."
According to Marketing Leeds, Montpellier Estates is an international development group which specialises in the regeneration of former industrial sites into new, modern mixed use office space.
Furthermore, the firm is presently in the process of developing more than a dozen sites across the north of England.
