Office design 'can motivate workers'

Office design can affect employee productivity, it has been claimed.Interior designer Michael Payne told Entrepreneur magazine that making corporate spaces warm and inviting can motivate workers.
"We all know it's an office, we know everyone is there to work, but it should still exude warmth," he said.
"I like to use color on the walls and art nicely lit with spotlights. These make everyone feel good."
The report also claims that employee posture is an important factor in office design.
It cites research from the University of Waterloo revealing differences between the way men and women sit, recommending that chairs are modelled to maximise success in workers.
The publication also spoke to interior designer Johanna Pockar, whole the sector news provider that the balance of male and female energy in the workplace can be mirrored by office design.
A recent study from Ross Human Direction indicated that employers should act to encourage younger workers to remain with one company for a significant amount of time, reported the Brisbane Times.
