A mixed-use office design and residential property scheme has gotten underway in Horwich by HOW Planning.
Crain's Manchester Business reported the firm has been appointed by Horwich Vision to act as lead consultant on the 73-hectare project.
In total, the development has proposed to create up to 1,600 new homes and a number of modern office design buildings, which in turn are likely to considerably boost employment in the area.
Gary Halman, partner at HOW Planning, said: "We will be looking to respect the heritage of the site and the important role that it has played in the development of Horwich over the last century."
The company specialises in planning for commercial developments and typically offers site appraisal services, pre-application discussions, planning and project management, undertakes technical studies on behalf of its clients and provides public inquiry appearances to present evidence.
