Miller Developments has purchased a waterfront development in Glasgow city centre and is considering an office refurbishment project at the site in order to tackle the city's lack of new office availability.
The company is set to renovate property at 10 Anderston Quay and has paid £1.5 million to Begbies Traynor for the site.
Previously, the site held planning permission for two 14-storey office blocks providing 223,000 sq ft of office interior space and Miller will therefore be looking to take these plans forward in the months ahead.
"It is a strategic acquisition in terms of what's happening with Glasgow's demand-supply dynamic and there is a bit of a buzz around the waterfront," commented Pamela Grant, director for Scotland at Miller.
She added that local planners appear to be flexible, therefore a final decision on the development will be made in the near future.
Miller is an international property development company and operates predominately in mainland Europe and the UK.
