The Cooperative Building in Middlesbrough has let twice as much office space in the last 12 months as had been forecast.
In total, the property offers 40,000 sq ft of office space and 23,500 sq ft has been let in the last year, Free Office Search reports.
Martin Johnson, partner at Python Properties - the owner of the building - told the news provider: "The Cooperative Building has received an astounding amount of interest within the last year; we feel we have provided businesses and local residents with an iconic building that they can be proud of."
Elsewhere in the region, One Trinity Gardens in Newcastle has been purchased by Standard Life Investments in what is reportedly the largest single office deal in the city's history.
The property offers 122,000 sq ft of office interior space and is currently let to a number of tenants, including Royal Bank of Scotland, Faber Maunsell and Dickinson Dees.
