Staff at the Southern Co-operative are reaping the benefits of refurbished office interiors following the company’s decision to relocate its headquarters.

The firm’s operational centre is now located at 1,000 Lakeside, North Harbour in Portsmouth. Staff members had previously been based in nearby Fareham.

The new office design offers a range of additional benefits, according to Richard Stileman of the Southern Co-operative.

He added: "Finding the right location for any professional company is essential, and the feedback from our colleagues is that 1,000 Lakeside is the perfect choice because of the lovely surroundings, extensive car parking, round-the-clock site security and the campus-style buzz."

The firm is currently responsible for more than 180 food stores and funeral homes situated across the South of England.

Its relocation to the Lakeside development brings the number of organisations based there to around 60.
