Office occupier wanted in Shoreditch

European real estate business Hammerson is presently on the lookout for a new occupier for its Shoreditch office scheme, following a protracted planning process at the site.
Property Week reported that the firm is hoping to bring in new tenants for its development at the City fringe scheme - where 650,000 sq ft of grade A modern office design space is currently available.
In total, the site has 1.5 million sq ft of office space soon to come on to the market. However, this initial 650,000 sq ft is available on a pre-let basis.
On top of the office scheme, the developer has created a residential tower, shops and a new hotel in the area, as well as preserving the well known Light Bar - a concession which local council officials were keen to see happen and resulted in the hold-up to planning consent for the project.
Hammerson is presently listed as a FTSE 100 company on the London Stock Exchange and operates a real estate portfolio across the UK and Europe valued in excess of £5.1 billion.
