The capital could be set to see investment of up to £475 million over the coming months due to a number of new office design projects by British Land.
The firm has earmarked £65 million for the creation of a new office on Baker Street, as well as the delivery of up to 500,000 sq ft of office space at Regent's Place.
Furthermore, plans for the "Cheesgrater" skyscraper have also been relaunched after being put on hold as a result of the economic downturn. When completed, the project will provide 610,000 sq ft of offices for London workers.
Chief executive officer of British Land Chris Grigg said: "People including us see a shortage of new product in the London market in 2013, so this is timed specifically to address that gap."
The company presently owns or manages a portfolio of properties valued in excess of £12.7 billion and is one of the UK's largest real estate investment trusts.
It is focused predominantly within the UK, but in recent months has been acquiring projects in western Europe.
