Office provider urges green investment

Office provider Bruntwood has urged businesses to continue implementing green office design and environmentally friendly practices despite the ongoing economic decline.
The company noted that green features can help to reduce a firm's costs over the long term and will help attract young, environmentally-aware talent to a business.
Iain Grant, of Bruntwood, commented: "In the current climate, there is a danger that pure green initiatives - particularly those that come at a premium and provide little value for money - are no longer sustainable for businesses."
Bruntwood currently recycles 65 per cent of all waste from its 90 developments across the north-west region and has urged other businesses to implement their own green strategies at a time when cost-management is of utmost importance.
And in related news, Anthony Zahra, a spokesperson for the National Landlords' Association, recently stated that energy-efficient properties are more attractive to prospective tenants because they offer firms and individuals the chance to make savings on overheads and upkeep.
