Telephone House in Hull is set to undergo a £4 million office refurbishment in the coming months.
The Hull Daily Mail reports the property is situated on Carr Lane and property owner KC is splashing the cash to bring the premises up to date.
Headquarters of the telecoms firm, Telephone House is now at the planning stage but the firm is confident approval for the project will be soon achieved.
KC chief executive Kevin Walsh told the newspaper: "The office was built in the 1960s and while parts of it have been updated and improved over the years, a significant investment is now needed to create a more modern working environment."
He added that the new office space will be "great for our employees" and the new premises will be a bold statement to customers that the company is looking to go from strength to strength in the years ahead.
Meanwhile, William House in nearby Leeds was recently purchased by Formal Investments.
According to the Need Office Space blog, the building offers 24,742 sq ft of prime office interior space and is presently home to law firm Irwin Mitchell.
