Europe House in Westminster, London is to undergo a £5 million office refurbishment project in the coming months.
The eight-storey property contains approximately 3,200 sq m of modern office design space and is soon to become the headquarters of the European Commission (EC) in London.
Sustainable office design principles are being embedded into the office refurbishment programme, with the structure set to benefit from sustainable heating, ventilation and air-conditioning cooling, while improved lifts, fire protection, data cabling and security are also to be installed at the site.
In total, the building will deliver office interior space for up to 70 EC employees when completed.
Elsewhere in the capital, Rockspring Property Investment Managers recently brokered a deal for the National Pension Service Central London Property Limited Partnership fund to purchase two new office interior buildings.
The fund paid £268 million for 88 Wood Street in the City of London and a 50 per cent stake in 40 Grosvenor Place in Victoria.
