The former Garlands call centre in Hartlepool has been renamed and put up for sale following an office refurbishment at the premises.
Now known as Maritime House, the property was formerly one of three owned by Garlands at Hartlepool Marina. The firm went into administration in May and the property had lain empty for four months, but its new owner has now refurbished the site and given it a price tag of £1.5 million.
Hartlepool mayor Stuart Drummond opened the building and claimed it was a move in the right direction for the town.
"I am delighted to see that the owner of the middle Garlands building, Maritime House, is focused on ensuring new occupiers," he commented.
"The building really is in a perfect location and there won't be many buildings about with better office space."
Meanwhile, Free Office Search reports the Cooperative Building in nearby Middlesbrough is celebrating a bumper year of interest in its office interior space, as the property has let more than double the amount of office space as had been predicted.
