Office space extension plans revealed

Plans for a new landmark building in Leeds have been submitted, a report suggests.Applications for planning permission on the £450 million development called Wellington Place have been put forward by developer MEPC.
"We believe that Leeds is the most robust business centre in England outside of London and that there is still a good demand for grade A office space within the five-star business district in Leeds' West End," said chief executive officer of the firm Rick de Blaby.
He added that the company hopes Wellington Place will become the "most significant" urban regeneration project in the region.
Contractors for the development are yet to be appointed, New Civil Engineer notes.
In total some 15,000 square metres of office interior space is to be made available in teh new project, along with 750 square meters of retail space.
According to the building firm, the 22-acre site will be one of the largest new business quarters in Europe.
