07-05-2008
Office interiors are becoming increasingly sought-after in Edinburgh, according to new reports.Reflecting on a successful first quarter of trading in the Scottish capital, real estate firm Cusham and Wakefield (C&W) suggested that demand for office interiors in the city is on the rise.
In fact, over the course of the first three months of this year, the company estimates that it has seen some 200,000 sq ft of office interior in Edinburgh taken up by clients and the price per square foot increase considerably since 2007.
Angela Lowe, from C&W's office agency department told the Choregus news provider: "Improved demand has also been accompanied by reduction in supply, vacancy rates have fallen by approximately two per cent in the past year and four new Grade A developments are on site with the earliest scheduled for completion in spring 2009."
Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that the Duddingston House Properties company is set to carry out an office fitout project at a former Job Centre covering 40,000 sq ft of space in Edinburgh's Exchange District.
