31-03-2008
Following the opening of the Scottish parliament in Edinburgh, business has flourished in the capital and office space is in short supply, it has been noted. There have been a number of key office design developments at the former Holyrood brewery site, the Edinburgh Evening News reports, while another key office premises reached full capacity this morning.
According to business groups, the regeneration of the Holyrood area forms part of a wider expansion of the city centre as a whole.
Paula Fern, associate director of Jones Lang LaSalle's Edinburgh office, said that the demand for office interiors marks the strength of the Edinburgh market.
"They highlight the strong market demand for good-quality, open-plan office suites on flexible-lease terms," she commented.
In related news, an £80 funding package for the Edinburgh International Conference Centre has recently been acquired which will see the creation of contemporary office interiors in the heart of the city.
