Global pharmaceutical business AstraZeneca has officially opened its new worldwide headquarters at a site in Paddington Central.
The company has carried out an office relocation to Two Kingdom Street from its former offices in Mayfair and saw the new centre officially opened by London mayor Boris Johnson.
It will now accommodate 350 members of staff and will be home to the firm's global sales and marketing divisions.
"London is a world class city with a vibrant financial centre, with improving transport links and, being based in Paddington, we now have even better access to Heathrow Airport," commented AstraZeneca chief executive David Brennan.
Elsewhere in the capital, Naomi Heaton, chief executive at London Central Portfolio, recently said UK investors are continuing to be attracted to prime London rentals.
She noted that investors are now looking to get hold of the best real estate possible following the falls in value that were seen at the height of the economic crisis.
