Prime London office interiors 'gaining value'

Prime London real estate is gaining in value but this momentum cannot be sustained forever, it has been claimed.

Businesses looking to purchase modern office design space in the capital will see prices "settle" in the months ahead, as there has been a recent surge in value, according to Alex Thompson, director at the Winkworth Notting Hill office.

He commented: "The main growth we saw was in May, June, through the summer and through until September. This month, things are a little bit quieter, but the momentum can only carry on for so long."

Meanwhile, Australian banking firm Macquarie recently announced plans to move to two new office interiors in the capital.

The firm will carry out an office relocation project to new headquarters in Canary Wharf where it will take on 210,000 sq ft of modern office design space. It also plans to open a second office interior at Exemplar Properties' Drapers Garden scheme when it opens next autumn.
