There remains a glut of prime modern office design space available in London, it has been claimed.
Naomi Heaton, chief executive of London Central Portfolio, said there are still plenty of opportunities for investment in the capital, especially given the fact that many new developments have been put on hold in recent months and are now waiting to get back on track.
She commented: "In our view, the market will make up for this lost growth and return to long-term trends, continuing the current recovery.
According to Primelocation.com, the average price of a prime platinum property was £618,604 in January 2010 - down by 0.7 per cent compared to December 2009, but up by 5.8 per cent from January 2009.
However, prime property cost £450,633 on average this month - down by 0.7 per cent compared to December 2009 also, but up by 3.8 per cent from January 2009.
