The Royal Institute for Chartered Surveyors (Rics) has published a survey showing an increase in expectations for the buoyancy of the commercial property market in the north of England.
Crain's Manchester Business has reported that the net balance of chartered surveyors who responded to the poll claiming they saw rental incomes for office interiors and commercial buildings grow over the first quarter of 2010 rose to -16 - up from -22 in the same period last year.
"It looks like we are beginning to see a return of confidence to certain sectors, although it is very fragile," Jennifer Welch, operations director for Rics north-west, told the publication.
Rics presently has more than 100,000 qualified members and over 50,000 students and trainees on its books. It operates in 140 countries around the globe and is an independent, not-for-profit organisation specialising in ensuring the highest standards in land, property, construction and the associated environment.
