Market research and workflow solutions company TheMarkets.com has announced the expansion of its London offices.
The firm has unveiled plans to double the headcount at its UK office following considerable customer growth in the last 12 months.
At present, the firm serves more than 2,000 clients globally, with this expansion aimed at helping the business better serve its present UK customers and increasing client base.
"Despite the worst market environment in decades, we had strong subscriber growth in the second half of 2008 and saw record client usage of our product. Increasingly, demand for our products is coming from non-US investors," commented David Eisner, chief executive officer and president of TheMarkets.com.
Meanwhile, office vacancies in the capital have been predicted to peak at 12.1 per cent in the final quarter of this year.
Commercial property firm Knight Frank forecast that the marketplace will begin to pick up as the UK enters 2010 and the effects of the economic downturn begin to be less harshly felt.
