Rochdale modern office design contract up for grabs

A new £60 million modern office design contract has been put up for bidding for developers looking to take on property in Rochdale.
Rochdale metropolitan borough council (MBC) has put forward plans for a new modern office design in the town centre as part of plans for the regeneration of the area.
The riverside development is now is need of a firm to carry out the major renovation and office refurbishment work, with a view to have the property completed by 2012.
Roger Ellis, chief executive of Rochdale MBC, said: "These new key projects and developments will undoubtedly have a massive effect on Rochdale and create a town to be proud of and this new office development is a key element of this. The change is starting to happen."
Elsewhere in the region, Royal London Asset Management recently announced the sale of Trafford Park in Manchester to Jolivet Investments.
The 1970s office interior park contains up to 125,000 sq ft of modern office design space and raised £4.7 million for the firm.
